Brian McAdam

What he’s up to now:

Brian currently resides in Colorado and is pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.  He is married to marry FOCUS missionary Sarah (Norcross) McAdam.

 How FOCUS has impacted his life:

“‘Go set the world afire.’  With these parting words St. Ignatius of Loyola sent St. Francis Xavier to evangelize Asia.  Ten years later, Xavier had baptized as many as ten thousand souls.  We are each called to help fulfill the same Great Commission for which St. Francis Xavier gave his life, but we are not all called to do so in exactly the same way.  For those of us without the extraordinary gifts and graces of Xavier, FOCUS teaches us how to win tens of thousands to Jesus and his Church by sharing the faith profoundly with a few individuals in such a way that they in turn share the faith profoundly with a few others, teaching those others to do the same.  By this means, though no one of us may personally reach ten thousand souls, as did St. Francis, by the grace of God we may together bring about the fulfillment of the Great Commission, to go and make disciples of all nations.  Through the intercession of St. Francis Xavier, a patron saint of FOCUS, may you and I go and set the world afire.” ~ Brian McAdam
