How FOCUS impacted her life:

“I spent the majority of my life searching for happiness; I got caught up in everything that I thought would bring me happiness, I even based my degree on what job could bring me the most money the quickest so that I would find even more happiness.  As you can imagine, I never found that true joy I was seeking until I meet an amazing group of individuals my last semester at college!   FOCUS missionaries opened my eyes to true joy; a life centered on Jesus Christ!  FOCUS allowed me to truly take a step back and see the world the way Christ meant for it to be seen, a world where He is the center of it.  In the three years that I was honored to work for FOCUS I noticed that I stopped looking for what “I” needed and started looking at what Jesus desired for me.  This new outlook on life helped me to truly pray for God’s will, and to accept what He put in front of me.  Even with all the blessing, community, and training that I received with FOCUS, it really only comes down to one thing, FOCUS introduced me to Christ, and showed me the way to truly live life to the fullest, with Jesus Christ and His Church!” ~Jessica Maddox
