How FOCUS impacted
his life:
“I will always be
grateful for the time I was involved in FOCUS. I first came in
contact with FOCUS during my junior year at Northern
Colorado and I still see that time as a major turning point
in my life. Although I had never given up the practice of my faith, it
wasn't something that made a major difference in my day to day life. I
met a FOCUS missionary one Sunday night at Mass who invited me to a Bible study
and Christ began to change things rapidly for me after that point. I
became involved in the community at UNC and for the first time in my life, I
saw Catholics my age who were excited about their faith. The model of discipleship I learned during my
time with FOCUS still affects my relationships today as I try to share Christ
in my parish, workplace, and home. Thanks be to God for those who
continue to share their lives in Christ with young people as they go through
this incredibly important time of their lives!” ~Joey Sagel
