Kirsten Goza 

Where she served as a FOCUS missionary:

Kirsten served for three years at Benedictine College (Atchison, KS) during the 2003- 2006 school years. 

What she’s up to now:

Kirsten has entered the Poor Clare Monastery of Mary, Mother of the Church in Alexandria, VA. 

How FOCUS impacted her life:

“My time with FOCUS was filled with more challenges and joys than I could hope to express in a few lines!  Above all, the beautiful experience of sharing my faith and love of Jesus Christ in the context of friendship has changed the way I see others and the world.  While I started FOCUS with a strong faith and a Theology degree, I had essentially no clue how to bring Christ to our modern culture!  Being a missionary taught me that our role as Christians is not easy, but it is simple:  to engage the few souls Our Lord places in our path and share with them the Father's love.  As I begin life as a contemplative nun, I know that what I gained in FOCUS will be an essential foundation for consecrated life - a love for Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and His Church, a love for prayer, and a love for souls.  Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever!" ~Kirsten Goza
