A brief note about our mission...
Welcome!
Thanks for visiting my page, and considering making a donation towards our mission to Rome this March. I am excited to be joining friends and classmates in our work with the Missionaries of Charity. Over a week in mid-March, we will be carrying out a three-fold mission: First, we will be visiting and caring for orphans and prison inmates in and around Rome. Second, we will also be speaking with any and all tourists, so many of whom come to this spiritual site without much knowledge of its full spiritual and religious significance. We will talk about the faith and evangelize, spreading the Gospel not only by words but even more by our actions, as St. Francis urged when he said, "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." Third, we will be growing in the faith through our own spiritual pilgrimage of sorts to some of the city's many sites of religious significance. This fellowship and growth in the faith will enable us to better serve those we encounter.
In order for us to travel to Italy and carry out this work, each mission participant (myself included) must raise $2,200 in financial support. This is where your help is so important! Please consider making a donation, and then stop. Don't donate now (yup, you heard that right!). Take a few more minutes, a few hours, or a day to think. Heck, pray about it! If you would sacrifice even just a single morning Starbucks run for the sake of our mission, you would be joining us in your own way on this mission to serve our brothers and sisters in need.
Whether you can offer assistance via prayer or donations, your support is much needed and greatly appreciated.
Verso l'alto,
Will
