Honduras Mission!

Throughout the immense change I've had in my life in the last few years, God has been so generous with me. Ever since I really fell in love with the beauty of my faith, the burning desire to know, love and serve Him has only grown. Overwhelmed by His incredible love and mercy, He continues to pour graces into my life that I can't keep to myself. This is a beautiful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ and share the gifts God has given me with those who don't yet know His love. I'm open to however He wants to use me on this journey.

When I found out about this mission, I really started praying about it to see if this is something God is calling me to do. I have had the tug on my heart for quite some time to do missionary work but never made the step to actively discern it until now. Being accepted to FOCUS was truly an answer to prayer and I am really excited to be part of this wonderful ministry.

This spring, I will be spending one week in the mountains of Honduras. While in Honduras, we will be working with the Missioners of Christ to help educate people in remote villages about the faith. There are only about 70-80 priests in the entire country and the people are deprived of everyday access to the Sacraments and teachings of the Church. In fact, some of the people we encounter only have the opportunity to receive the Sacraments once a year! There are opportunities for door-to-door “bare-handed” evangelization as we invite villagers to Holy Mass and Confession, and we will lead daily programs for youth, young adults, and parents, feeding them spiritually and physically. This is an exciting opportunity to share the faith as I experience the people and the culture of Honduras in an intimate way, while staying with a host family.

Christ has called us all to be evangelists. Each person has a unique and critical role to play in God's plan. “Some give by going while others go by giving.” You can join me in this mission in a couple dynamic ways with both your prayers and financial gift. I ask you to prayerfully consider joining me in doing corporal and spiritual works of mercy in Honduras. I need to raise $2,000.00 by February 26th. In order to meet this goal as quickly as possible, one-time gifts of $25, $50, or $100+ are greatly needed. However, there are no minimums or maximums and ALL gifts are greatly appreciated! Simply click the "Make a Donation" tab to join me on this mission! Checks and cash donations are also accepted.

This wouldn't be possible without your prayers and generous support. Thank you for your "yes" to be a partner with me on this mission. If you have any prayer requests, feel free to leave it in the Guest Book. I love you all so much. May God bless you immeasurably!
